How to Deal with the Men Who Keep Saying, "Animal is an amazing movie."

Image
Me dealing with Animal movie lovers - Harry Potter also same problem, dis sapter? Read on. I discuss the movie Animal with like-minded friends. However, the exchange is often infiltrated by those claiming Animal is one of the best movies ever made. I know that it's useless to elucidate them with points like "toxic masculinity," "misogyny," and "glorification of violence. For a fact,  Gen Z men dislike feminism more than Baby boomers thanks to people like Andrew Tate, Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, and Sneako.  Realizing that I can't use logos, pathos, and ethos for a healthy argument with the men who keep saying that Animal is a good movie under my reviews of the garbage, I will simply ask them these questions: 1. Were you a Peeping Tom? For you know which hand your dad uses to hold his cuckoo bird when peeing. 2. Speaking of you dad's pee pee, which hand does your dad use to hold his ding dong when urinating. Which hand does he use to wash his ...

Animal Review & Roast (Part 2)

Animal Review & Roast (Part 2) had me crying - the revisit was painful. I couldn't cover everything problematic with Animal in a single blog. Hence, I am including what I missed here. I felt like cussing out when Ranvijay's grandfather doesn't dress down his grandson for having an affair in their guest house. He says "I'm not like that," and gives a feeble swat at Ranvijay. Ranvijay's cousins save Zoya's number as "Sister-in-law 2." If Vijay was a woman, by now feminists would be harangued. Notice when Gitanjali finds out that Ranvijay had cheated on her, she asks a correct question - "I will also have an affair." To that, Ranvijay says he won't let anyone near her, commodifying her. Instead of punishing her cheating husband or leaving him, Gitanjali asks Ranvijay to kill Zoya. When he tells her not to remarry if he doesn't return from his murderous quest to save his father, Gitanjali keeps quiet. This scene further ex...

Animal Review & Roast

My situation when I watched the highest grossing, blockbuster chart bursting Indian movie of the year = ANIMAL. 🐔🐔🐔 I finally watched Animal. I knowingly put my leg in a landmine. For who? For y'all. I was unable to take the movie seriously at all. At least that was how I prepared myself before watching it. They really used a lot of tomato chutney tho. "Self-reliant India." But chooses to live in the United States. This movie's genre isn't action. It's comedy. Animal is nothing but a privileged, spoiled, self-sabotaging, egoistic brat with a short fuse. His wife Gitanjali is another idiot who dances to his tune. She slaps and fights but has a rubber stick for a spine. However, the fact that this movie is the blockbuster of the year and Ranbir Kapoor getting a Filmfare award for Best Actor (Male) makes me a worrywart. What kind of people are we living with? They so intensely crave for violence, misogyny, gender roles, senseless murders, religious strife, e...
